CONCIERGE – We’re putting together a team of enthusiastic concierges, who would be on rotating assignment to the concierge desk at PlayFest Santa Barbara. Our concierges answer general questions, as well as suggest restaurants and routes to venues to our patrons and can help our audience find the perfect show for them. For each shift at the concierge desk, you’ll receive a voucher to see a show for free! The application form is located at the bottom of this page.
BOX OFFICE / TICKET DISTRIBUTION – We need short-term volunteers to help with will-call distribution. This involves handing out tickets to audience members who have purchased tickets in advance via the internet or phone. You will report to the Box Office Manager and Venue Director on-site, who’ll give you instructions. And remember, for each two-hour shift as a box office volunteer, you’ll receive a voucher to see a show for free! To volunteer at the box office, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
GENERAL VOLUNTEERS – General volunteers are needed to assist the staff with whatever needs doing. It could be anything from taking a replacement lamp to a venue to taking notes at a daily roll call meeting. Whatever it is, you can bet it is vital to keeping PlayFest Santa Barbara going. If you are interested in any of the above Short Term Volunteer Positions, you can get started by filling out the Application Form at the bottom of the page. You’ll then receive the appropriate Volunteer Newsletters with information about training and scheduling. We need help starting in December and throughout the festival, so even if you can only help for a few hours/days, or late in the festival, your help is still very much appreciated!
